TODD GLORIA EARNS LATINO AMERICAN
POLITICAL ASSOCIATION’S ENDORSEMENT
SAN DIEGO – The Latino American Political Association of San Diego (LAPA) has endorsed Todd Gloria’s candidacy for San Diego City Council District 3.
“The Latino American Political Association is pleased to announce its endorsement of Todd Gloria for Council District 3,” said LAPA’s Secretary Theresa Quiroz. “We feel confident that Todd will represent well the issues of the Latino Community on the City Council.”
The neighborhoods of Council District 3 are among San Diego’s most diverse. Latinos make up 39% of the district’s population.
“I am honored by LAPA’s endorsement and grateful to have their support in this race,” said Gloria. “As someone with a background that includes American Indian, Filipino, and Puerto Rican ancestry, I feel uniquely qualified to balance the needs and concerns of District 3’s diverse communities.”
The Latino American Political Association of San Diego is a non-partisan organization. It has provided leadership in the San Diego region since 1973. LAPA was formerly known as the Mexican American Political Association (MAPA).
